the raw
starving hunger
that bites and claws
that swallows a rainforest
slash'n'burn the fire on the frozen
lake … poker stoking the kiln my stomach
aches saliva running down the river a mouthful

poised on the fork … a throb of chanting drums
rhythmic croon of labour cracking a coconut
the hand grips the rosewood awl … like
a plunger dredging up the clay the
abyss in the pit of my stomach
like sobs of laughter gasp
thick black hole below
pulsates like a boa
constrictor

In fluid dynamics, a vortex is a region within a fluid where the flow is mostly a spinning motion about an imaginary axis, straight or curved. That motion pattern is called a vortical flow
Vortices form spontaneously in stirred fluids, including liquidsgases, and plasmas. Some common examples are smoke rings, the whirlpools often seen in the wake of boats and paddles, and the winds surrounding hurricanestornadoes and dust devils. Vortices form in the wake of airplanes and are prominent features of Jupiter's atmosphere
Once formed, vortices can move, stretch, twist, and interact in complex ways. A moving vortex carries with it some angular and linear momentum, energy, and mass. In a stationary vortex, the streamlines and pathlines are closed. In a moving or evolving vortex the streamlines and pathlines are usually spirals
Vortices are a major component of turbulent flow. In the absence of external forces, viscous friction within the fluid tends to organize the flow into a collection of so-called irrotational vortices. Within such a vortex, the fluid's velocity is greatest next to the imaginary axis, and decreases in inverse proportion distance from it. The vorticity (the curl of the fluid's velocity) is very high in a core region surrounding the axis, and nearly zero in the rest of the vortex; while the pressure drops sharply as one approaches that region

Milking machines work in a way that is different from hand milking or calf sucking. Continuous vacuum is applied inside the soft lining to massage milk from the tip by creating a pressure difference across the tip canal (or opening at the end of the tip). Vacuum also helps keep the machine attached. The vacuum applied to the tip causes congestion of tissues accumulation of blood and other fluids. Atmospheric air is admitted into the pulsation chamber about once per second the pulsation rate to allow the lining to contract around the end of tip and relieve congestion in the tissue. The ratio of the time that the lining is open milking phase and closed rest phase is called the pulsation rati

if you
listen to
whale noises
you can hear them all
day in your head even the
squealing of a stable door ... ting
aaaooo000oo ... the coffee machine
sounds like the sea ... those haunting echoes
that call from such a far away like a grieved father
looking for his child ... both hopeful and despairing ...
like one that hears more than seas ... the music plummets

like a deep timpani circling the rim ... hitting the sides like
a gong, scraping the frame, tubas alphorn ... combers
ghostly cries chiming together hundreds of
miles apart while violas stroke happier
sounds brief moments of affection
permitted to caress the
sea waves xanthin
triptophane

orgone, Odic force

he sounds
like a flock of
white birds release
from the coop they start
flying an then turn into paint
that slow hang the smooth skys
thickening mood a light so dense
and free of time where you become
the food just amalgamated into algae

the chord rungs through and back again
where all things melt into one ... swim
in Lord Goo ego-less gunge I move
my arm it moves other souls ...
the music gutted me like a
fishbone scraping out
the gizzards black
and red like
lava

the sound
of it listening to
the deep dark colours
splatter walls a ufo of barium
oxide a gothic fish arching its back

Uterine muscles form opposing spirals from the top of the upper segment of the uterus to its junction with the lower segment. During effacement, the cervix becomes incorporated into the lower segment of the uterus. During a contraction, these muscles contract causing shortening of the upper segment and drawing upwards of the lower segment, in a gradual expulsive motion
