Ms Jollie's mammaries are not the issue here (sorry). The fact that she has challenged Hollywood according to what the female body should be is true and somewhat commendable (she does remain a loving mother and hetro partner and if she had come out as gay during this episode it would have made a huge difference I imagine). However, doesn't anyone get the idea that her “faulty” gene & preventative medical augmentation as choice is something very radical, even completely new? That people, presumably with good enough health insurance or capital, can have their genetic code examined and then take drastic action against the possibility of illness in the future; to the extent of having one's breasts removed and replaced by what are probably excellent prostheses is, as Ms Jolie herself says; "like a scene out of a science-fiction film". I would say out of Gattaca (1997).
