- Stroke, stroke, stroke on the good ship Old Etonian and Gideon surfing with the furcup. I wondered where he was going so fast on that first class ticket Friday afternoon. He had to do the waves for the weekend; catch some rays with the buxom admin asst and back by Monday, rested and ready to eat some more scrounger thrall babies. Excellent cartoon again.

Response to memtitude, 22 October 2012 1:09AMResponse to cinimon, 22 October 2012 12:45AMYou are probably right. Im thinking out loud and far ahead, its something for for ahead business model wise and likely to appear for business to business markets communications services first. However, given I have been consider it, I may as well elaborate. While Im in agreement regarding the 1% rule it is worth bearing in mind that that would be per article, rather than the total body of the site (very important when relating to a 'network effect' advantage as a result of the scale of the population relative to other sites) and the 80-20 rule. Also, a small threshold fee would serve as a useful way of getting rid of trolls and making people with multiple accounts cross subsidize other users, it could improve standards on cif, which could bring in more casual readers.
Found the link and attached. You correctly point out that it is (less than) 1% of readership of artilcle but that translates into an even smaller number. Are you suggesting introducing a fee as some sort of censorship? Be careful - you mentioned the t word - you and I both know that very often those with differing views from the majority here are referred to as this - it wouldn't alleviate the problems I mentioned in my previous post - quite the opposite, it could be even more off putting to the minority - intelligent reasoning is impossible without engaging with the voice of the minorityThough there are obviously many intelligent and interesting people who take the time to express their views on articles (a lot of them on Telegraph Blogs), comment sections are actually frequented by a very small minority of readers. Industry averages suggest less than one per cent of the readership of any given article will comment.**********trix and enders have intercepted communication between me and loz unless i offer them pictures of my naked vagina to use as a titillation hoist for their dead genitals ...
