Americans have been gun owners since they landed at Plymouth Rock. It is a cherished tradition, and they will never turn in their Mt. Everest sized mountain of firearms. Ever. The federal gubbermint knows this, and that's why it is never really serious about enacting gun control measures. Who is the Obama administration's latest point man for new gun legislation proposals? Biden? LOL. After taking stock of the situation, Alex Jones probably now believes that the shooter didn't drive himself to the school but was picked up and dropped off by the NWO courtesy shuttle, so no matter what the govt. does, it will always be suspect.
Unfortunately, there is a long and sorrowful history of massacres of unarmed civilians, soldiers, and worker union activists in the US, beginning with Ft. William Henry, later Ft. Pillow (sure, Ft. Pillow was all soft and cushie--until Nathan Bedford Forrest showed up), the Ludlow Massacre and countless other massacres of mine and other industrial workers, and Americans do have long memories of these atrocities. The Lawrence Kansas massacre is perhaps the most notorious of all because the townsmen locked up all their personal firearms in the town arsenal, a fact which was well known to the bushwhackers who raided the town, gunning down most of the unarmed men and boys like rabbits. Lawrence was turned into a gun-free zone only to be turned into a shooting gallery for opportunistic criminals and Confederate partisans.
The film Unforgiven is probably a composite of all these past events. Remember Big Whiskey? Big Whiskey is a liberal fantasy: everyone in town and who rides into town has to turn in all their firearms to the authorities (Little Bill). After the obligatory gun play, the moral of the story is: he should have armed himself. Before he decided to decorate his saloon. With my friend Ned. The bottom line is, Americans will never agree to let the federal gubbermint turn their country into Big Whiskey, and it won't matter what Piers Morgan or anybody else has to say about it, the politicians know it, and they will tread very carefully around this issue as they always have, even if this time, it was "beautiful" white children from a wealthy suburban neighborhood instead of the usual invisible black and hispanic children who are the traditional random victims of gun violence in American inner cities
