Last week on holiday on Tanera Mor, Summer Isles, Scotland, an extremely loud buzzing insect flew into my room. Night time, window open, lamp on. About 1 1/2 " long, winged, dark brown/black with two yellowy orange bands near base of body. Quite chunky. Looked like tiny waving 'arms' inbetween the wing bases, or could have been very hairy. Please help identify
