The billions of dollars been spent on displaced peoples coming to Australia on humanitarian grounds should direct to indentured regional programs as part of their acceptance of visa protection status and go to communities that are welcoming of them. Establishing regional community work & training programs, transitional or permanent housing & socially orientated education. Providing opportunity for seasonal & permanent employment as well as community oriented programs such as local farming for local communities producing their own food at low cost, aiding socially inclusive services for the general community such as aged care service provision. By providing these poor people with the ability to self sustain in a safe community without fear of persecution would, in my view, be welcomed by most sides in the long term, providing a level of respect & thanks for the opportunity given to be of value. Utilise the billions of dollars been used for offshore processing for a more humane, socially inclusive & financially beneficial input to regional Australia, I also believe we could attract funding & support from our neighbours in the region for alleviating their problems. These would be the very people to help educate & to learn from on how to best deal with the crises that their homeland citizens face & to help find solutions to their place of origin socio political & economic problems in order to stop them unduly risking their lives as refugees. Once the problems of their homelands begin to resolve themselves over time, offer the opportunity to return and contribute as they see fit
