a pot half full

there is a shop in this town 
that sells spiritual things 
like crystals and stuff 

and in the window is a clay pot 
painted purple 
with writing on it saying 'evil energy' ... 

i looked at it 
and i thought 
i would not like to have that in my room ...

but what if i got another pot 
paint it white 
and write 'joyous energy' on it ? 

i would look at it and thing that it doesnt work ... 
that its just making more clutter 

so why does the pot of negative energy work 
while the positive one doesnt ?
