That article is like a cold drink of water in the desert.It's better than nothing, but 4 years into the Age of Atos, it's hardly brimming with outrage. No doubt I'll be accused of being an ungrateful sod, but I think it's a piece dashed off to quiet the increasing demands that she contribute something. Where is the substance? where is the objection to the sham theory that underpins the assessments? where is the anger and compassion for its victims beyond a perfunctory listing of stats. dug up by others. Where is the evidence she's done anything more than flip through a few articles and 'Pollify' the results.Given the alignment of the paralympics, Atos, and two recent TV documentaries, no mention at all would have endangered her credibility with even her staunchest supporters, so she's finally done a piece. Four years ago, it would have been pretty damning. But as the bodies start to pile up, we've moved well beyond the stage where a bit of grapeshot off the bows will warn the Tories.They need blowing out the fucking water, and articles like that won't achieve it.
One has to remember here that ATOS, the killers of disabled people and friends of Guardian sponsors UNUM, are sponsoring the Paralympics.Wonder what propaganda will be next on the Graun feelgood advertising campaign
