I did try to take the petition abroad like you suggested
the GP surgery said they would think about it .
The library said no, they can't do that
as its seen as some sort of a bias
and suggested i try some of the shops
I feel like I'm campaigning single handedly for the Your Way centre at the moment
as most service users are not able to be proactive, are not well enough ...
The turnout on thursday was better than i had anticipated
but not exactly a throng
Although there are about 25 signatures on the petition at Your Way
which is again better than i expected.
According to Julie
two people had phoned her that morning
saying that they felt the meeting would be too distressing for them
and that they were afraid of seeking help
because it would only be whisked away from them
a sentiment i know all too well.
Hopefully i will be well enough to take the petition around again
although i would not be able to use a clipboard in the street
as i am fed up with charity workers harassing people
i would just associate it with that really.
