Some on the left see little difference between him and Romney, on, say, drones, civil liberties or the Middle East; the odd nuance, perhaps, but otherwise they are Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Big mistake. Some of us heard the same refrain in 2000: no difference between Gore and Bush, who cares who wins? And we all know how that worked out.
A very unconvincing argument. Since Gore failed to win in 2000, we know nothing of what he would have done had he actually been in office, so there is no contrast with Bush's incumbency to be drawn.
On the other hand, irrespective of whether we are on the left or otherwise, we can be pretty certain that both a re-elected Obama and a President Romney would continue lawlessly assassinating putative terrorists by drone attack (along with murdering anyone else who happens to be in their vicinity), continue to threaten Iran, continue to ignore the increasingly desperate plight of the Palestinians, and support Israeli domination and land-grabs.
