Mainstream schools have a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments to include children.
Ofsted have issued a report which states that lots of children with all types of special needs make outstanding progress in mainstream.
Just as there is variation in mainstream schools to provide good education generally, there is also variation in their ability to provide good education for children with sen.
My child has mde good progress learning in mainstream school and she has severe learning difficulties and they are not even that motivated. They wanted her out and they succeeded in getting her out.
I do believe that parents should have a choice about the school special or mainstream and I appreciate that my opinion is not shared by everyone. However, it remains my opinion.

jane is flooding the thread ... she is cathy blight gunning to be let off my injunction ... she has an injunction on her for sexual harassment and malicious gossip ...
i have had injunctions on me and the onus was on me to change even if i was not in the wrong ... why can't jane get off her arse and get some help for herself instead of spending all her money on booze ...
her posts are highly self serving and fictitious and have nothing to do with special needs children ...
