and offer only an Irish solution to an Irish problem: in both states they simply export their abortions to Britain

hmmm and their implants too no doubt - - -

Although he cannot use the law to force the clinic to close, the attorney general's letter to the committee made clear that he was willing to act as counsel and cross-examiner on behalf of any investigation they undertook

or maybe he has some other political reason for saying so - - -
If he intervenes again on the matter his position as chief legal adviser in Northern Ireland is surely untenable

how is it untenable in a climate where the main parties agree with him - - -
*******

had written to the Justice Committee inviting them to investigate the operations of the Belfast clinic
However, the Attorney General said that the opening of the Marie Stopes clinic ?raises important issues concerning the rule of law in Northern Ireland?.
He added that as ?guardian of the rule of law?, he is ensuring that the law in this area is complied with

But Tracey McNeill, the UK director of Marie Stopes, said that her understanding of the law is that they can only be investigated if they carry out an illegal act, and they have ?no intention of doing that?
an investigation is not the same as an intervention - - - well if you are not drunk that is - - - um no an investigation is to see whether intervention is necessary doh - - -
?They live in Northern Ireland. Why would they do anything unlawful??

why would anyone ? watchdogs are there to see whether there are amateur cowboys at work - - -
Mr Rozenburg said that acting as counsel for the committee and questioning witnesses on behalf of the committee would not happen in England and Wales as the Attorney General ?would take the view that he needs to stand back from this sort of thing, stand aloof ... because if this matter were to come to court ... then he would like to say that he hadn?t been involved.?
sure - - - like we have no watchdogs in the UK - - - these articles are full of sensationalist exaggerations repeating over and over the pilot subliminal - - - intervening - - - he obviously has alot of experience to be in that position and he is not intervening - - - obviously the author is fearful of the power of his views - - - or the article is analogous - - -
