Canada's starting to resemble the US, politically. It's getting into political "dynasties" like the Kennedy and Bush clans. A lot [probably most] of Canadians will vote for Trudeau without knowing anything about him except his name; I personally know several intelligent, educated people who are excited about Trudeau even though they can't say where he stands on any issue...it's weird and it's sort of scary too.
Even scarier, the son of former NDP [Labour Party to you] leader Jack Layton is currently a Toronto councilor but it's clear his political aspirations are set much higher. At some point it's going to be Trudeau vs. Layton in a federal election in which your name means more than what comes out of your mouth.
