I was watching Ed Miliband on the box last night and he was starting his replies with "Look...", <pause>, wibble, wibble, wibble, blibble...
Don't know about the wibbling, but I did find the 'Look..' bit rather disconcerting, because yes, it was very reminscent...
However, I did also see a slight vulnerability in Ed's eyes....catnip to the Bullingdon Bullies of course, but then (imo) bullying is all they really know how to do
My late mother, who even though her sight was failing, was a perceptive lady, said of Blair, 'He smiles with his teeth, not with his eyes.' Of course I didn't want to believe her at the time, but she was right. However, I don't see that in Ed Miliband - I think he really is sincere (hoping that this is not another example of wishful thinking.) And I'm also sure that he is not stupid, whatever some people may wish to imply! I doubt very much that he has megalomaniac tendencies, although you can never be quite sure with politicians
So I'm thinking that he has made a good start, and that he probably will be at least an OK PM, and maybe a very good one. He seems to be saying the right things, and, bar anything unforseen he has 2+ years and 2 more conference speeches to go before the next election.
