If the Queen did lobby the Home Secretary over Abu Hamza, that's a very serious breach of your "unwritten constitution" in the UK. And why? I suppose it comes of having too much time on her hands.
AFAIK, the Queen still gets to talk to the Prime Minister on a regular basis to put her views. That's already an obscene and unjustified privilege for someone who's head of state and gets huge benefits cheques from the taxpayer on the basis that her ancestors were really, really good at murdering and robbing people in Germany.
Now there's an idea for benefits cuts that I could get behind: scrap the Civil List. Brenda has more than enough of her "own" money to look after her family. Why does the taxpayer have to pay for her 14 homes or however many it is? She has a huge palace in the heart of London. Why doesn't the government cut her housing benefit and tell her to move to Stoke, like they're doing with other unemployed people in the capital?
