In truth, we are loth to recognize and acknowledge, lying, betrayal of principle, brutality , and mass murder of innocents by the countryfull, even when it is smearing our hands red and filling our nostrils with the stench of graveyard.

Just to provide some context, over 600 First Nations women have disappeared or been murdered in Canada over the past 20 years. The Canadian government has never investigated this issue, although the United Nations has now commenced their own investigation.
Most of these women disappear within a short time of leaving their reservations and visiting the nearest city. None has ever been heard from again.
The only ones whose fate has been determined proved to be victims of a non-native mass murderer who confessed to killing 49 women, not all members of First Nations, after he had sexually abused them. He was convicted of the second degree murder of six women.
