It's unfortunate that comment pieces like the latest one about the Levenson enquiry start off with comments open, and then the threads are deleted or turned off. I'm guessing that the piece was never intended for commenting. It's not a great look though, that all the pieces criticising the media have comments turned off.
Legal reasons or not, moderation, or even blanket pre-moderation would solve the issue.
Ironic for a paper that supposedly champions free speech.

ok i have to explain basic five year old english ? there is a differntc between freedom of speech and filming someone naked in their bedroom against their will and using the footage for home entertainments which part of that is difficult to understand ?
