  So...? You want all jornalists and interns to be paid more maybe? Guess what, newspapers and no doubt magazines as well are dying on their feet (look at the guardians losses for example).

  To add to that, theres always going to be a huge number of canditates chasing each position. The reason that interns don't get paid is because those running it can easily afford to when they have 100s clamoring for a few positions.

  Supply and demand. If owners and editors had to pay for interns then they probably woudn't offer them in the first place...
