  The irony being that this time, Germany wanted the UK as an ally. Instead, stupid Dave went and attacked the most worthwhile projects - joined-up transport and energy infrastructure across the region - rather than anger pater-in-law and his fifth cousin by really fighting the welfare-for-landowners scam, CAP. A return to the true roots of Toryism (landlords, country seats and rotten boroughs).

  lets flash back a little there - - - I don't think people are usual so brasen as to assume
  joined up thinking is about sticking your finger up the bosses arse
  or nose - - - a black spot unless they want to opt in - - - :)
